Barka da shan ruwa Muslim Ummah- Imam An-Nawawi's Hadith #28-29

HADITH 28: On the authority of Abu Najih Al-Erbadh bin Sariah, who said :
The messenger of Allah gave us a sermon by which our hearts were filled with fear and tears came to our eyes. We said: "O Messenger of Allah, it is as though this is a farewell sermon, so councel us." He said: "I councel you to fear Allah and to give absolute obedience even if a slave becomes your leader. Verily he among you who lives [long] will see great controversy, so you must keep to my sunnah and to the sunnah of the rightly-guided Khalifahs - cling to them stubbornly. Beware of newly invented matters, for every invented matter is an innovation and every innovation is a going astray, and every going astray is in Hell-fire."
related by Abu Dawud and Al-Tirmithi, who said that it was a fine and true Hadith.
HADITH 29: On the authority of Muadh bin Jabal, who said:
I said: "O Messenger of Allah, tell me of an act which will take me into Paradise and will keep me away from Hell fire." He said: "You have asked me about a major matter, yet it is easy for him for whom Allah Almighty makes it easy. You should worship Allah, associating nothing with Him, you should perform the prayers, you should pay the zakat, you should fast in Ramadan, and you should make the pilgrimage to the House." Then he said:" Shall I not show you the gates of goodness ? Fasting [which] is a shield, charity [which] extigueshes sin as water extebgueshes fire; and the praying of a man in the deapth of night." Then he recited : "Who forsake their beds to cry unto their Lord in fear and hope, and spend of that We have bestowed on them. No soul knoweth what is kept hid for them of joy, as a reward for what they used to do". (quran, verse) Then he said: " Shall I not tell you of the peak of the matter, its pillar, and its topmost part?" I said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said: "The peak of the matter is Islam; the pillar is prayer; and its topmost part is jihad." Then he said: "Shall I not tell you of the controling of all that ?" I said:"Yes, O Messenger of Allah", and he took hold of his tongue and said: "Restrain this." I said: "O Prophet of Allah, will what we say be held against us ?" He said: "May your mother be bereaved of you, Muadh ! Is there anything that topples people on their faces - or he said on their noses into Hell-fire other than the jests of their tongues ?"

related by Al-Tirmithi, who said it was a fine and true hadlth.

Imam An-Nawawi's Hadith #26-27

HADITH 26:

On the authority of Al-Nawwas bin Samaan, that the prophet said:

p "Righteousness is good morality, and wrongdoing is that which wavers in your soul and which you dislike people finding out about."

related by Muslim.

HADITH 27:
And on the authority of Wabisa bin Mabad, may Allah be pleased with him, who said:

I came to the messenger of Allah and he said: "You have come to ask about righteousness ?" . I said:" Yes." He said: "Consult your heart. Righteousness is that about which the soul feels tranquil and the heart feels tranquil, and wrongdoing is that which wavers in the soul and moves to and from in the breast even though people again and again have given you their legal opinion [in its favor]." a good hadith transmetted from the Musnads of the two Imams, Ahmed bin Hanbal and Al-Darimi, with a good chain of authorities.

Imam An-Nawawi's Hadith #24-25

HADITH 24:
On the authority of Abu Dharr :

Some of the companions of the messenger of Allah said :" O Messenger of Allah, the affluent have made of with the rewards, they pray as we pray they fast as we fast, and they give away in charity the superfluity of their wealth." He said:" Has not Allah made things for you to give away in charity ? every tasbihah is a charity, every takbirah is a charity, every tahmidah is a charity, and every tahlilah is a charity, to enjoin a good action is a charity, to forbid an evil action is a charity, and in the sexual act of each of you there is a charity." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, when one of us fulfils his sexual desire will he have some reward for that?" He said: "Do you not think that were he to act upon it unlawfully he would be sinning ? Likewise, if he has acted upon it lawfully he will have a reward."

related by Muslim.

HADITH 25:
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, who said: The messenger of Allah said :

"Each person's every joint must perform a charity every day the sun comes up : to act justly between two people is a charity; to help a man with his mount, lifting him onto it or hoistingd up his belongings onto it is a charity: a good word is a charity, every step you take to prayers is a charity and removing a harmful thing from the road is a charity."

HADITH 23:
On the authority of Abu Dharr Al-Ghafari, of the prophet is that among the sayings he relates from his Lord is that He said:p "O My servants, I have forbidden oppression for Myself and have made it forbidden amongst you, so do not oppress one another. O My servants, all of you are astray except for those I have guided, so seek guidance of Me and I shall guide you. O My servants, all of you are hungry except for those I have fed, so seek food of Me and I shall feed you. O My servants, all of you are naked except for those I have clothed, so seek clothing of Me and I shall clothe you. O My servants, you sin by night and by day, and I forgive all sins, so seek forgiveness of Me and I shall forgive you. O My servants, you will not attain harming Me so as to harm Me, and you will not attain benefiting Me so as to benefit Me. O my servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to become as pious as the most pious heart of any one man of you, that would not increase My kingdom in anything. O My servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to be as wicked as the most wicked heart of any one man of you, that would not decrease My kingdom in anything. O My servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to rise up in one place and make a request of Me, and were I to give everyone what he requested, that would not decrease what I have, any more than a needle decreases the sea if put into it. O My servants, it is but your deeds that I reckon up for you and then recompense you for, so let him who finds good praise Allah, and let him who finds other than that blame no one but himself."

HADITH 19:
On the authority of Abdullah bin Abbas, who said : One day I was behind the prophet and he said to me: "Young man, I shall teach you some words [of advice] : Be mindful of Allah, and Allah will protect you. Be mindful of Allah, and you will find Him in front of you. If you ask, ask of Allah; if you seek help, seek help of Allah. Know that if the Nation were to gather together to benefit you with anything, it would benefit you only with something that Allah had already prescribed for you, and that if they gather together to harm you with anything, they would harm you only with something Allah had already prescribed for you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried."

Jumu'at Kareem[Hadith Qudsi Meaning and it's revelation]

Hadith Qudsi and how do they differ from other Hadith?

Hadith Qudsi are the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him) as revealed to him by the Almighty Allah. Hadith Qudsi (or Sacred Hadith) are so named because, unlike the majority of Hadith which are Prophetic Hadith, their authority (Isnad) is traced back not to the Prophet but to the Almighty.

Among many definitions given by the early scholars to Sacred Hadith is that of as-Sayyid ash-Sharif al-Jurjani (died in 816 A.H.) in his lexicon At-Tarifat, he says:

"A Sacred Hadith is, as to the meaning, from Allah the Almighty; as to the wording, it is from the messenger of Allah (PBUH). It is that which Allah the Almighty has communicated to His Prophet through revelation or in a dream, and he, peace be upon him, has communicated it in his own words. Thus the Holy Qur'an is superior to it because, besides being revealed, it is His (Allah's) wording."

On Trials and Tribulations

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem!

In the Name of Allah, the most Beneficent, The Most Merciful

Asalam Mualaikum WaRahmatullahi Wabarakatahu!

On Trials and Tribulations

Abu Sa`id and Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that the Prophet (SAW) said,

“No fatigue, nor disease, nor anxiety, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that”
[Bukhari and Muslim].

This world is no more than a test in which all humans are bound to face some hardships and challenges that reveal their patience and steadfastness. The forms of this test are numerous and diverse: Some people suffer poverty, some suffer physical illnesses, some live in a state of insecurity, some are deprived of their cherished and beloved ones, and still others suffer psychiatric disorders. Referring to this fact, Allah says:

And surely We shall try you with something of fear and hunger, and loss of wealth and lives and crops; but give glad tidings to the patient, Who says, when afflicted with calamity: “To Allah We belong, and to Him is our return”: They are those on whom (descend) Blessings from Allah, and Mercy, and they are the ones that receive guidance.
[Baqarah 2:155-157]

In another verse, He Almighty says:

“He Who created Death and Life, that He may try which of you is best in deed: and He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving.”
[Al-Mulk 67:2]

Since trials and hardships are inevitable, Islam does not let them pass by without instructing Muslims on the best course of action or by guiding them to the safest and most appropriate attitude. The Hadith reveal one dimension of Islam’s recipe for successfully dealing with life’s challenges. In order to balance the negative effects posed by af sins and elevate the believer’s rank in the Hereafter. This optimistic and positive approach safeguards one from falling prey to despair and grief. Here, it is fitting to cite some Prophetic hadiths that emphasize this concept:

Abu Yahya Suhaib bin Sinan (RA) reported: The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said,

“How wonderful is the case of a believer; there is good for him in everything and this applies only to a believer. If prosperity attends him, he expresses gratitude to Allah and that is good for him; and if adversity befalls him, he endures it patiently and that is good for him”
[Muslim]

Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said,

“He whom Allah intends good, He makes him to suffer from some affliction”
[Bukhari]

Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said,

“A Muslim, male or female, continues to remain under trial in respect of his life, property, and offspring until he faces Allah, the Exalted, with no sin record”
[Tirmidhi]

The above hadiths should not be mistaken for a call to fatalism and defeatism. The message the hadiths convey is that every Muslim should expect hardships and prepare to weather them. This point makes a distinction between one who trusts in Allah and believes in His mercy and one who feels that he is alone in this world, that he faces its formidable challenges isolated from any source of support or assistance. So, these hadiths are meant to infuse the Muslim with hope and vigor and drive away the destructive thoughts of failure and hopelessness. To get a better understanding of them, they should be considered light of the following hadiths:

Abu Hurairah (RA) reported:The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said,

“A strong believer is better and dearer to Allah than a weak one, and both are good. Adhere to that which is beneficial for you. Keep asking Allah for help and do not refrain from it. (If you are afflicted in any way), do not say: ‘If I had taken this or that step, it would have resulted into such and such,’ but say only: ‘Allah so determined and did as He willed.’ The word ‘if’ opens the gates of satanic (thoughts)”
[Muslim]

In line with this hadith comes the Prophet’s advice to his cousin Ibn `Abbas (RA) to know that with patience comes victory, with distress comes relief, and with hardship comes ease.

In this respect, one idea may be a source of worry and disturbance. How can we approach afflictions with such optimism when they are clear signs of Allah’s wrath and manifestations of His punishment? Has not Allah said,

“Whatever misfortune happens to you, is because of the things your hands have wrought, and for many (of them) He grants forgiveness”
[Ash-Shura 42:30]

Actually, this question haunts many people, especially the practicing ones when they are afflicted with a calamity, deprived of a cherished person, or plagued with an illness. The problem is that in many cases this thought becomes a source of frustration and depression. Instead of being an incentive to hastening to Allah and drawing closer to him, the idea serves sometimes as a dispiriting factor. So, let’s see how the Companions viewed the above verse and how they took it positively and optimistically.

In his comment on this verse, Imam Al-Qurtubi reports that `Ali (RA) said,

“This verse is the most hopeful one in the Qur’an; if my sins are to be expiated through afflictions and calamities, and in addition to that, Allah forgives many other sins, then what will remain after such expiation and forgiveness?”

True, life’s disasters leave hearts broken and loved ones deprived, but the bright believer knows how turn them into a source of determination and a fountain of strength. I conclude with the beautiful authentic hadith in which the Prophet (SAW) tells us that the people who face the harshest trial are the prophets, then those next to them (in faith and devotion), and then the next. Everyone will be tried according to his level of faith; one who has strong faith will undergo a harsh trial and one who is of weak faith will receive a weak trial. And the affliction will encompass one until he becomes free of sins altogether.

Trials, tribulations and challenges are part of every person’s life. However, to counter that, Allah has provided us a very powerful tool – and that is the tool of du’a or asking Allah for help and his mercy when we need it. And we need it all the time…. Equally importantly, we forget at times that Allah has also provided us the opportunity to dramatically increase the effectiveness of our own Dua’s by encouraging us to make dua’s for other brothers and sisters in Islam. Consider this Hadith by the Prophet (SAW):

“The supplication that gets the quickest answer is the one made by one Muslim for another in his absence.”
[Reported by Abu Daw’ud & Tirmidhi]

And your Lord said: “Invoke Me, (i.e. believe in My Oneness (and ask Me for anything) I will respond to your (invocation)…………..”
[Qur’an (40: 60)]

Allah (SWT) makes easy for all Muslim Ummah the trial of this duniya (World) and makes us a better Muslim. Allah Humma Aa’meen

And ALLAAH (SWT) knows best.

The Story behind Our Daily AzKar and Tasbeeh

Bismillahir Rehmanir Raheem
Assalam Alaikum Wa Rehmath Ullahi WBarkatahu
The Third Kalimah

The Third Kalimah Has A Unique And Very interesting Story Behind it.
It All Started Before Allah Ta'alah Created Adam A.S.
The Angels Were Trying To Move The Arsh (Throne) Of Allah Ta'alah But It Was Too Heavy And Wouldn't Budge.
So They Asked Almighty Allah For Help.
Allah Told Them To Recite "Subhanallah."
The Angels Did As They Were Told And Found That it Gave Them  Power And  Strength  And  They  Were  Able  To  Move  The  Arsh.
They Liked This So Much That They Began Constantly Hymning "Subhanallah."- (Glory be to Allah)
Then  Allah  Created Adam  A.S.
When  Allah  Blew  Life  into  Adam,
The  First  Thing  He  Did  Was  Sneeze  And  Say "Alhamdulillah" (All parise be to Allah) The  Angels  Liked  This  Act  So  Much  That  They  Added  This  To  Their  Parise  And  Glorification of Allah.
Thus  The  Kalimah  Became "Subhanallah Walhamdulillah"
Hundreds  Of  Years  Passed  And  The Prophet Nooh A.S.
Was  Now  On  Earth.
For  Nine Hundred  Years  He  Proclaimed  The  Oneness  Of  Allah  With  The  Words "La illaha illalah."
(There  is  None Worthy Of  Worhip  The  Angels  Loved  This  Act  So  Much  That  They  Added  This  To  The  Kalimah.
Thus, The Kalimah  Now  Became "Subhanallah Walhamdulillah Wa La illaha illalah."
The  Angels  Kept  Repeating This  Kalimah Day And Night.
Many  Centuries  Passed  And  The Prophet Ebrahim A.S. (Abraham)  Was  Asked  By Almighty Allah To Sacrifice  His  Beloved  Son Ismaeel A.S.
He  Was  About To  Slaughter  His  Son  And  He  Needed  Something  To Give  Him  The  Courage  He  Needed  To  Do  This  Difficult Deed.
So  He  Recited "Allahu Akbar." (Allah is Great)
The  Angels  Loved  This  Act  So  Much  That They  Added "Allahu Akbar"  To  The Kalimah.
Thus   The  Kalimah  Became "Subhanallah Walhamdulillah Wa La illaha illalah Allahu Akbar."
More  Centuries  Passed.  It  Was  The  Night  Of Meraj,
When  Our  Beloved  Prophet Muhammed S.A.W.
Ascended  To  The  Heavens  With Gibraeel A.S. There  Gibraeel A.S.  Told  Nabee S.A.W.
The  Story  And  Nabee S.A.W.   Added  The  Final  Part  Of  The Kalmiah "Wala Howla Wa La Quwata Illah Billah Hil Aleyeel Azeem."
Thus  The  Kalimah  Now  Became Subhanallah Walhamdulillah Wa La illaha illalah Allahu Akbar Wala Howla Wa La Quwata Illah Billah Hil Aleyeel Azeem" (There is no Power and Might except from Allah, The Most High, The Great)
And  Up  To  This  Day,  This  Kalimah (or Declaration Of  Faith)  Buzzes  Around  The Arsh  Of Almighy Allah.
Third Kalima is Tumjeed,
This  is  The Kalima (the first part)  That is Recited 33  Times  After  Each  Farz  Namaaz,   And  is Called  Tasbih Fatima.
Surah Fatiha  Protects  One  From  The  Anger  Of Allah.
Surah Yaseen  From  The  Thirst  Of  The Day  Of Judgement.
Sura  Waaqiah  From Poverty And  Starvation
Surah Mulk  From  The  Punishment  Of  The  Grave
Surah Kausar  From  The  Enemity  Of  The  Enemy
Surah Kaafiroon  From  Kufr  At  The  Time  Of  Death
Surah Ikhlaas From  Hypocrisy
Surah ! Falaq  Fr om  Calamities.
Surah Naas  From  Evil  Thoughts

Should Someone  Become  Aware  Of  The  Above  From  Your  Message  And  Read Any  Of  These  Surahs,

Hazrat Muhammad S.A.W.W  (PBUH) Says That
“If A Person Recites ” Ayatal Kursi” After Every Farz Namaz Then There Will Be Nothing Between Him And Heaven Except Death”

There is A Hadith That Says “3rd kalima” is Such A Great Medicine That it Cures Every Disease And The Most Minor Disease it Cures is “Sorrow” (Gham).

Third kalima Being:  ” Subhaan Allah, WalHamdo Lillah, Wa La Illaha IlAllah, Wa Aallah o Abar. Wa Lahoalwalla quwatta illa billah hilm Ali al Azeem.”
Another Hadith Says
“if A Person Recites Surah ikhlaas 10 Times in A Day Then Allah Build A Palace For Him in The Heaven.(Subhaan Allah)”

And The Last But Not The Least ALLAH Says ”
Spread The Knowledge Whatever U Have
Its Duty Of Each N Every Muslim”

JUMMU'AT KAREEM [Actions for the sake of Allah only]

Hadith Qudsi #5

Allah Almighty had said:

I am so self-sufficient that I am in no need of having an associate. Thus he who does an action for someone else's sake as well as Mine will have that action renounced by Me to him whom he associated with Me.

It was related by Muslim (also by Ibn Majah).

[Let Allah be the Judge!]

#31 of 40 ALLAH Says:

A man said:

By Allah, Allah will not forgive So-and-so. At this Allah the Almighty said: Who is he who swears by Me that I will not forgive So-and-so? Verily I have forgiven So-and-so and have nullified your [own good] deeds (*) (or as he said [it]).

(*) A similar Hadith, which is given by Abu Dawud, indicates that the person referred to was a goldly man whose previous good deeds were brought to nought through presuming to declare that Allah would not forgive someone's bad deeds.

It was related by Muslim.

Allah's Servants; His Love and Detest of them

Hadith Qudsi #24 ALLAH [SWT] says:

If Allah has loved a servant [of His] He calls Gabriel (on whom be peace) and says: I love So-and-so, therefore love him. He (the Prophet pbuh) said: So Gabriel loves him. Then he (Gabriel) calls out in heaven, saying: Allah loves So-and-so, therefore love him. And the inhabitants of heaven love him. He (the Prophet pbuh) said: Then acceptance is established for him on earth. And if Allah has abhorred a servant [of His], He calls Gabriel and says: I abhor So-and-so, therefore abhor him. So Gabriel abhors him. Then Gabriel calls out to the inhabitants of heaven: Allah abhors So-and-so, therefore abhor him. He (the Prophet pbuh) said: So they abhor him, and abhorrence is established for him on earth.

#28: ALLAH Says:

There was amongst those before you a man who had a wound. He was in [such] anguish that he took a knife and made with it a cut in his hand, and the blood did not cease to flow till he died. Allah the Almighty said: My servant has himself forestalled Me; I have forbidden him Paradise.

Hadith of the Day [Allah's Love and Aid for his True Devotee]

# 25
ALLAH Says:

Whosoever shows enmity to someone devoted to Me, I shall be at war with him. My servant draws not near to Me with anything more loved by Me than the religious duties I have enjoined upon him, and My servant continues to draw near to Me with supererogatory works so that I shall love him. When I love him I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him, and were he to ask Me for refuge, I would surely grant him it. I do not hesitate about anything as much as I hesitate about [seizing] the soul of My faithful servant: he hates death and I hate hurting him.

[The Poor but true believer is Most favoured by Allah]

Hadith Qudsi: #20 ALLAH Says:

Allah Said: Truly of those devoted to Me the one I most favour is a believer who is of meagre means and much given to prayer, who has been particular in the worship of his Lord and has obeyed Him inwardly (*), who was obscure among people and not pointed our, and whose sustenance was just sufficient to provide for him yet he bore this patiently. Then the Prophet (pbuh) rapped his hand and said: Death will have come early to him, his mourners will have been few, his estate scant.

(*) i.e. he has not been ostentatious in his obedience.

It was related by at-Tirmidhi (also by Ahmad ibn Hanbal and Ibn Majah).

Its Isnad (chain of authorities) is sound.

[Allah's Awareness and Constant Readiness in Helping us]

Hadith Qudsi: #35

Our Lord (glorified and exalted be He) descends each night to the earth's sky when there remains the final third of the night, and He says: Who is saying a prayer to Me that I may answer it? Who is asking something of Me that I may give it him? Who is asking forgiveness of Me that I may forgive him?

It was related by al-Bukhari (also by Muslim, Malik, at-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud). In a version by Muslim the Hadith ends with the words: "And thus He continues till [the light of] dawn shines."

Sadaqat: To My Dear Father and Beloved Rukky, May their Souls rest in Peace. Ameen
